ST. GEORGE – A Las Vegas woman was arrested after St. George police officers watched her attempt to use a stolen credit card at a convenience store, Monday night.
Officers approached Michelle Renee Johnson, 35, after watching her try to purchase items with a credit card that was not working properly and appeared to be altered.
In further investigation, police discovered the Las Vegas woman was in possession of credit cards that did not belong to her.
Police learned that Johnson had a warrant for her arrest steaming from identity theft charges in Nevada.
Johnson was transported to Washington County Jail and charged with the warrant for her arrest, unlawful possession of a credit card and unlawful use of a credit card, all of which are felony charges.
