SOUTH SALT LAKE — One person was taken to a hospital after police responded to reports of a shooting in South Salt Lake Sunday.
South Salt Lake police received reports of a shooting at about 12:45 p.m., and they responded to the area near 100 W. Truman Ave.
Lt. Ron Lance of the South Salt Lake Police Department, said when officers arrived they found a Hispanic male believed to be in his ’30s injured in the road.
Lance said the man had not been shot, but he was injured and had blood on him. Lance said the man did not have identification on him, and he said the man was incoherent because of his injuries. Lance said because of the lack of ID and the man’s condition, they have not been able to identify the man or determine what happened to him.
The man was taken to a hospital.
Police are still investigating the incident. FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
