SALT LAKE CITY — Fire crews are investigating the cause of a two-alarm house fire that happened Wednesday.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. near 150 North Laxon Court (915 West) in Salt Lake City.

Jasen Asay with Salt Lake City Fire said the blaze originated in the garage and ended up spreading to another another home. He said the area is very congested, and fire crews had to deal with fallen power lines on the roof of the home that was on fire.

Asay said they are now searching for a homeless man who is wanted for questioning in connection with the fire. He said witnesses reported seeing the man run from the scene around the same time the house caught fire.

Asay said one fireman was treated at the scene for a hand injury, but no other injuries were reported.

Four people were evacuated from the home.

The exact amount of damage has not yet been released.
