SALT LAKE CITY – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Thursday they have 75,000 missionaries serving, which is a new record for the church.
In a press release, officials said there were 58,500 missionaries serving prior to the October announcement that changed age requirements for missionaries.
According to the press release, missionaries spend all day, every day with an assigned companion, and each companionship spends hours every morning studying the teachings of Jesus Christ. They teach at planned appointments and speak with people on the street, in their homes and other places.
