JUAB COUNTY, Utah – Officials said the 222 Fire, which is burning about 15 miles south west of Eureka, has grown to more than 1,600 acres Sunday.
Officials said Sunday the blaze is about 50 percent contained.
Fire Information Officer Lisa Reid of the Bureau of Land Management said the 222 Fire is burning near Maple Peak.
Reid said the fire draws its name from the fact it is the 222nd wildfire of the 2013 season in Utah. She said there have been no evacuations or structures threatened.
