FARMINGTON, Utah –The Farmington Spine Fire was 100 percent contained as of Sunday night.
Fire officials mapped the Farmington Spine Fire Sunday and found it covered about 58 acres. The fire was originally estimated to be 75 acres.
Fire officials said just after 8 p.m. Sunday the blaze was 100 percent contained and the Farmington Canyon Area would open again Monday.
Firefighters used air resources to drop retardants on the blaze throughout the day.
Officials said they believe the fire to be human caused, but they have not yet confirmed the specifics of how the fire started. The fire started Friday night.
