TSA discover 29th firearm at SLC airport Monday morning

SALT LAKE CITY — A loaded gun was discovered in the carry-on bag of a woman at the Salt Lake International Airport Monday morning, officials said.

Transportation Security Administration officers found the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380 firearm at a security checkpoint. The suspect, Aubrey Luddington, was traveling to San Diego.

The Luddington was charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a sterile area.

This is the 29th firearm discovered by TSA at the airport’s security checkpoints this year, TSA officials said.
