OGDEN, Utah -- Fire crews are investigating a suspicious grass fire that broke out early Monday morning in Ogden.
Firefighters said they responded to the blaze just before 5:30 a.m. in the area of Park Blvd. and Monroe Blvd. They said the fire was on the north facing hillside of the Green Waste Facility.
The fire burned about three acres before firefighters put out the blaze.
Firefighters said several power poles were damaged on the Green Waste Facility property, but no other parts of the facility were affected.
No injuries from the fire have been reported.
Officials said Monday's fire is adjacent to the Ogden Parkway Trail System where several otherintentionally set fires have taken place recently. They said along with those fires, Monday's fire is being treated as suspicious as well.
