ST. GEORGE -- Police in southern California have found the vehicle with occupants wanted in connection with what police described as a "suspicious incident" that occurred Monday.
Occupants in the vehicle are currently being questioned, officials said Tuesday.
St. George Police officials said officers received information from a resident at Paula’s Restaurant, 745 Ridgeview Drive, who reported that two men came into the establishment asking for the locations and addresses of area schools, a press release from police stated Tuesday.
The men were directed to Coral Cliffs Elementary School, 2040 W. 2000 North. The same individuals reportedly arrived at the school and spoke with a staff member outside the building and inside the front office. Again they inquired about addresses of area schools.
The staff directed the men to the Washington County School District website.
Although no crime was committed police described the mens' behavior as suspicious, the release stated.

ST. GEORGE, UT – On August 19, 2013 at approximately 2:00 P.M., the St. George Police Department received information from a citizen at Paula’s Restaurant (745 Ridgeview Dr. St George UT), who reported that two men came into the restaurant and asked for the locations and addresses of area schools. These men did not eat at the restaurant but only inquired about the schools. They were dressed in long-sleeved shirts and wearing gloves and sunglasses. The men were directed to Coral Cliffs Elementary School (2040 W. 2000 N St George UT). A short time later the same men were seen at Coral Cliffs Elementary School in St. George. One of the men spoke with a staff member outside the school and again inquired about the location and addresses of area schools. This staff member did not provide any information but referred the man to the front office. The man entered the school and spoke with school staff in the front office. School staff responded appropriately and did not provide information to the individual but referred him to the Washington County School web site. No crimes have been committed and at this point it is being investigated as a suspicious incident. At this time there is no information that leads law enforcement to believe that anyone in the community or in our schools is in danger.
Witnesses obtained the license plate number and description of the vehicle and the St. George Police Department is looking for a white 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan with lime green accent stripes on the sides. The license plate is California 6PCY687. Witnesses described the occupants of the vehicle as adult males that appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent.
Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident the St. George Police Department increased Police presence in the area schools as a precaution. The St. George Police Department has been in contact with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and is working with them in regards to this investigation. The St. George Police Department has been in close contact with officials from the Washington County School District and would like to commend the Washington County School District for their appropriate response to this incident.
