GEORGE, UT – On August 19, 2013 at approximately 2:00 P.M., the St. George Police Department received information from a citizen at Paula’s Restaurant (745 Ridgeview Dr. St George UT), who reported that two men came into the restaurant and asked for the locations and addresses of area schools. These men did not eat at the restaurant but only inquired about the schools. They were dressed in long-sleeved shirts and wearing gloves and sunglasses. The men were directed to Coral Cliffs Elementary School (2040 W. 2000 N St George UT). A short time later the same men were seen at Coral Cliffs Elementary School in St. George. School staff responded appropriately and did not provide information to the individual but referred him to the Washington County School web site. No crimes have been committed and at this point it is being investigated as a suspicious incident. At this time there is no information that leads law enforcement to believe that anyone in the community or in our schools is in danger.

Witnesses obtained the license plate number and description of the vehicle and the St. George Police Department is looking for a white 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan with lime green accent stripes on the sides. The license plate is California 6PCY687. Witnesses described the occupants of the vehicle as adult males that appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent.
