BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. – A school bus with 36 sixth grade girls inside reportedly turned on its side Wednesday afternoon after the driver lost control, and at least 20 were injured, including the driver.
Johnson County Fire officials told FOX 13 News sister station FOX 4 Kansas City that when they arrived on scene, four of the injuries were considered serious, five were moderate and the rest were minor. The driver was the most seriously injured and had to be cut out of the bus.
The children are all sixth grade students at Pembrooke Hill School, and they were on a field trip to Tall Oaks Camp in Linwood, Kan.
