Ogden police name person of interest in fatal shooting

OGDEN, Utah – Police are investigating a homicide after a dead man was found on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue Saturday, and on Sunday officials named a person of interest in the case.

Police were dispatched at about 1:18 a.m., and they found a 26-year-old male who had been shot and was deceased.

According to a press release from the Ogden Police Department, witnesses reported hearing an argument and gunshots. The investigation is in its preliminary stages.

According to a news release from the Ogden Police Department released Sunday, police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 18-year-old Jeremy David Clement. Clement has a no bail warrant for possession and use of a controlled substance. His last known address is 1721 Lincoln Ave.
