PLEASANT GROVE, Utah –Pleasant Grove City has lifted its advisory for residents to boil water before consuming.
Pleasant Grove City officials asked some residents to boil water before using as a precaution because of contamination that was caused by a severe storm on Saturday.
Residents who live east of 1050 East (roughly Murdock Drive) between 1000 South and 500 North were advised to boil drinking water while crews worked to flush the system. A map of the area is provided below.
Officials said Monday that tested water samples came back clean, and the water is now safe to drink. If residents still have discoloration in their water, they are asked to run their bathtub until the water returns to normal. Officials said the source of the discoloration has been discovered and has been fixed.
City officials provided the map below, which outlines the area the boil advisory applied to.
If residents continue to have problems with their water, they are asked to contact Pleasant Grove Public Works at (801) 785-2941.
