Utah beats Weber State 70-7

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah quarterback Travis Wilson played just two quarters against Weber State, but he put up big number against the Wildcats.

Wilson completed 14 of his 19 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns, and he also ran three times for 93 yards and two more touchdowns in Utah’s 70-7 win over Weber State.

The Utes scored 49 points in the first half, with 35 coming in the second quarter.

Wilson had touchdown runs of 38 and 51 yards, and he threw two touchdown passes to Sean Fitzgerald and another one to Dres Anderson, helping the Utes start the season with two wins.

Josh Booker put the Wildcats on the scoreboard with a three-yard run in the third quarter. Weber State falls to 1-1.
