SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah -- A tree planting project is planned for Emigration Canyon Saturday, and those involved aim to make the canyon safer.
The project is part of a slope stabilization effort put forth by the Salt Lake County's Office of Township Services. About 1,000 native trees and shrubs will be planted.
Patrick Leary of the Salt Lake County Office of Township Services came to the FOX 13 News studio Friday to discuss the project. Check out the video above, and click here for more information from Salt Lake County's website.
