‘Hope for the Holidays’ Telethon raises more than $100K for animals in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY – FOX 13 News welcomed the Humane Society of Utah into the studio Sunday for the Sixth Annual “Hope for the Holidays” Telethon.

The three-hour event raised $100,404 to help animals across Utah, according to a posting on HSU's Facebook page.

"First of all, we are grateful for the generosity of the Utah community for supporting the Humane Society," he said. "This is the greatest telethon we've ever had, and that's because of their generosity."

Carl Arky, director of communications for the Humane Society of Utah, said the event was a success.
