SALT LAKE CITY – A man accused of driving his truck up the stairs of the Utah State Capitol is now facing more charges.
Weston Gerald Green, 36, already faces charges of drug distribution and drug possession. Three more charges have now been added. Those charges include criminal mischief, assault against a peace officer and reckless driving.
Police said Green drove his truck up the stairs on the west side of the Utah Capitol on Oct. 22, and his motive may have been advocating for the legalization of marijuana.
A search warrant executed at Green’s home lead to the discovery of a hidden room filled with marijuana plants and more than five pounds of processed marijuana.
