SALT LAKE CITY – A Salt Lake City business was damaged in a Friday evening fire.
The small fire started at around 5:30 p.m. at 401 East and 900 South in Salt Lake City.
No one was in the building at the time, and witnesses called to report the fire. Fire crews had to cut holes in the roof of the building to put out the blaze.
“Of course when any type of business is closed, all the doors are locked up, everything is tight. So we had to do some forcible entry to gain access to the building,” said Salt Lake City Fire Battalion Chief Dan Walker.
There is about $15,000 in damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
