PROVO, Utah — Just 10 days after losing to Pepperdine in Malibu, California, BYU defeated the Waves 84-72 in Provo.
The Cougars started the game on a 12-0 run, and they went on a 8-0 run in the second half to extend a 2-point lead to a 70-60 lead with 3:48 to play.
BYU guard Tyler Haws scored six of those points, and he went on to score 11 straight for BYU to lead the Cougars to the win. Haws finished with 35 points.
Reigning WCC Player of the Week Skyler Halford scored 18 points, and Kyle Collinsworth added 15.
BYU is now 10-7 overall, and 2-2 in the WCC. They’ll host Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
