SALT LAKE CITY – The Salt Lake County Health Department heard a report regarding e-cigarette use Thursday from their tobacco expert, and the report focused on possible regulations for the emerging industry.
Millions of smokers across the country are switching to the electronic cigarettes, and health department officials said there is still much about the products that is unknown.
Thursday’s meeting looked at safety concerns and possible steps to protect the health of users as people await regulations from the FDA. FOX 13 News’ Kiersten Nunez examined the issue, see the video above for her report.
