SSL Police Chief Snyder retires

SOUTH SALT LAKE  -- South Salt Lake Police Chief Chris Snyder is retiring after 23 years.

Snyder started with the South Salt Lake Police Department in 1991, and has stuck with the force ever since. He served as chief over some of Salt Lake County's highest profile murder investigations,including the death of 7-year-old Hser Ner Moo.

Snyder will leave his position to Deputy Chief Jack Carruth.
