SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — A high speed chase in Utah County ended with a crash and an arrest Monday morning.
Officers said around 2:15 a.m. they spotted a suspicious car. They attempted to stop the driver near 100 North Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs, but the driver sped off. The chase lasted about 35 miles and ended in Elberta after the driver crashed into a ditch.
Officers arrested the driver, who has been identified as 31-year-old Chad Leifson. He has been booked into jail and now faces several charges including evading officers and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
