Jazz can’t snap Spurs’ streak

Posted

SAN ANTIONIO– The Utah Jazz were without leading scorer Gordon Hayward for the third straight game on Wednesday when they lost 109-105 to the Spurs.

Hayward did make the trip with the team but remained benched with a hip flexor injury.

Western Conference leading San Antonio has now won six games in a row, while Utah, bottom of the conference, falls to 13-27.

Enes Kanter was a bright spot for the Jazz with 25 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

But rookie point guard Trey Burke was outplayed by veteran Tony Parker. Burke had 17 points and 11 assists but shot just 7-19 from the field while Parker led the Spurs with 25 points and 9 assists.
