SALT LAKE CITY -- A private plane went down about 3 miles northeast of the Salt Lake City International Airport Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman for the airport.
According to a posting on the airport's twitter account, the plane is a Cessna Centurion and it crash landed at approximately 2100 N 1700 W.
Initial reports indicated the plane went down because it ran out of fuel.
No injuries were reported.
