OGDEN, Utah — A man who was wanted for allegedly kidnapping and sexually abusing a teenage boy was arrested in California last year, and this week he was brought back to Utah and jailed.
Ryan Schaffer, a registered sex offender who was required to check in monthly, allegedly kidnapped a 14-year-old boy in Ogden at knifepoint and forced the teen to perform sexual acts at gunpoint.
The alleged kidnapping took place on July 3 of 2013.
Schaffer was arrested in Eureka, California in August of 2013, and he has been extradited to Utah and booked into the Weber County Jail.
