MORGAN, Utah — In this video from the Standard-Examiner in Ogden, dashboard camera footage appears to show a police vehicle running a stop sign and causing a car accident.
The Standard-Examiner reports that the incident occurred last December when Deputy Ryan S. Dearden of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office was on his way to a keep-the-peace call. There were four teenage girls in the other vehicle, and one of them was taken to a hospital to be treated for a head laceration.
The Standard-Examiner reports that police officials said the officer did not have his lights and sirens on at the time, and they said he would likely be cited for the incident.
