Cougars stung by Stockton and Zags

Posted

SPOKANE, Wash.– The BYU men wasted a 48-point career night from Tyler Haws on Thursday, losing at Portland in triple overtime. It was not surprising that the Cougars appeared to run out of gas on Saturday at Gonzaga.

Haws had enough juice to account for 23 points, but David Stockton (son of Utah Jazz legend John Stockton) scored 14 for the Bulldogs en route to an 84-69 Gonzaga win.

Kevin Pangos led all scores with 24, including six 3-pointers as BYU dropped to 5-3 in the West Coast Conference. The Zags elevated their conference record to 8-1.
