Mavericks take down Jazz in close game

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz just couldn’t outlast Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night at EnergySolutions Arena.

Behind Nowitzki’s 31 points, the Mavericks ended up leaving Utah with a 108-101 win.

Utah’s Trey Burke scored 20 points while Enes Kanter chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Mavericks closed the game with their long-range shooting, sinking 13 of 21 three point shots.

The Jazz will face the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday in Salt Lake City at 7 p.m.
