SOUTH JORDAN — South Jordan police have identified the man whose body was pulled from the Jordan River Sunday.
The body was identified as that of 24-year-old Nathaniel Vamvas. Police said Vamvas had been reported as a missing person on March 23.
The body was discovered by some people who were walking their dogs along the Jordan River Parkway Trail on Sunday morning.
Police said it appears Vamvas’ body had been in the water for several weeks and there was no sign of foul play.
An investigation into Vamvas’ death will remain active pending the results of an autopsy by the Utah State Office of the Medical Examiner.
