SALT LAKE CITY -- Kyan Christopher is not a diplomat and is only three years old, but he was recently named as an ambassador in Salt Lake City.
The young child is an ambassador for the March of Dimes, which is an organization aimed at helping expecting mothers have full-term pregnancies.
The Christopher family said the March of Dimes was pivotal in helping their family grow. Complications threatened young Kyan's life when he was born, and the March of Dimes stepped in to help him fight for his life. See the video above for the family's emotional story.
The March for Babies is an event put on by March of Dimes, and it raises funds and awareness for the organization's cause. The march is scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at The Gateway, 90 S. 400 West in Salt Lake City. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., click here for more information.
