SALT LAKE CITY — Real Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman and goal keeper Nick Rimando have were called up to the U.S. men’s national team.
RSL forward Alvaro Saborio is joining the Costa Rican National Team in preparation for the World Cup in Brazil later this summer.
The national teams will now have about a month to trim from 30 players down to 23 for their final world-cup rosters.
RSL is currently undefeated this season but Coach Jeff Cassar recognized the challenge his club will now face by losing the three players.
Despite the loss, the coach said the team is ready for it.
