WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — University of Utah football quarterback Travis Wilsonwas cited for possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor on Friday, according to a statement from the Utah Department of Public Safety.
DPS released the following statement: “On Friday July 25 at approximately 2200 hours, agents of the Utah Department of Public Safety’s State Bureau Investigation, while assisting the West Valley Police Department during a concert, cited 20 year old Travis Wilson for possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor. This is a violation of state law. Mr. Wilson was cited into the West Valley Justice Court and released at the scene.”
U of U officials provided FOX 13 News with the following statement via email: “We are still in the process of gathering information on the incident. Once we have all the facts, we will handle the situation internally and determine any disciplinary action that should be taken.”
