AKRON, Ohio– We all know the story. Basketball star LeBron James leaves Cleveland to take his talents to South Beach and then decides he’s ready to return home a few years later. Cleveland fans were upset when he left, but they’ve decided to welcome him back to Ohio with open arms.

So what about Heat fans? Well, some of them aren’t too happy with his decision to leave Miami.

A Miami-based radio host even took out a billboard in LBJ’s childhood neighborhood to criticize his departure.

It reads: “You’re welcome, LeBron. Love, Miami” with two championship rings.

According to our sister station, Fox 8,  the billboard was paid for by Dan LeBatard. He hosts a sports talk show on a Miami radio station along with a national television show on ESPN.

Well, it turns out his employer doesn’t think the sign was too funny.

In a statement to FOX 8, ESPN said:  “Dan LeBatard will be off the air for two days, returning Monday. His recent stunt does not reflect ESPN’s standards and brand. Additionally, we were not made aware of his plans in advance.”
