Update: Roads open, fire out after threatening homes near mouth of Weber Canyon

WEBER COUNTY, Utah – Roads are back open and crews have put out a grass fire that was threatening homes in Weber County.

Officials said the fire sparked near the mouth of Weber Canyon just after 11 a.m.

Weber Fire Marshal Brandon Thueson said 15 units from five different agencies with about 30 people were called to help put out the blaze.

The flames were along I-89 near the intersection with I-84 at the mouth of the canyon.

No homes were damaged and no one was injured.
