LAYTON, Utah – Police were asking for the public’s help Thursday afternoon locating a juvenile female who ran away and was considered endangered, but the teen was located later Thursday evening.

Officials with Layton City tweeted around 6:45: p.m. that “Missing person Mariah Reyes has been located. Thank you to those that provided information on her whereabouts.”

The teen was found safe and in good health.

Reyes had last been seen in the parking lot at Davis Hospital with her father Tuesday evening, and she ran away as he was transporting her for a crisis evaluation.

According to a press release from the Layton Police Department, the 17-year-old has a diminished mental capacity and was without her required medication. The teen was also reported to be suicidal, and police had sought the public’s assistance locating her.
