MORGAN COUNTY, Utah — Two people are now confirmed dead after a car accident in Morgan County late Wednesday night.
Just before midnight Wednesday, Scott M. Egbert, 19, of Ogden, and driver, Wyatt Kelsey, 20, of Layton, were driving south with four others on State Route 167 when the accident occurred at mile marker 2.
SR 167 is also known as Trappers Loop.
It was reported that the young men were traveling at an excessive rate of speed when the vehicle rolled, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
Kelsey was pronounced dead on the scene.
Egbert was transported to an area hospital in critical condition where he later died from his injuries.
Egbert and Kelsey were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the car, according to UHP.
