SALT LAKE CITY -- The Red Rocks do host the PAC-12 championships this year, so it's not goodbye all-together for the Ute seniors--but senior night is a chance to officially recognize those gymnasts leaving the program and the Huntsman Center was filled to capacity Friday night.
And what a way for stars such as Georgia Dabritz to go out against 5th-ranked Michigan, in a meet with national title implications. Dabritz scored a perfect ten on the bars and a 9.95 on the floor routine—which was enough to give her the all-around win.
The 4th-ranked Red Rocks defeated Michigan to stay perfect on the season, and FOX 13 Sports’ Bailey McMurdie reports that during the meet the fire marshal had to turn potential spectators away as the arena was at-capacity. See the video above for highlights from the meet and comments from gymnasts and Coach Greg Marsden.
The four senior gymnasts spoke with FOX 13 earlier in the week about their time at the U of U, click here for their comments.
