WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – A West Valley City teen is recovering after he pulled a bike stunt and crashed overnight.
Police said a 17-year-old boy’s friends were towing him on his bike behind an SUV near 6400 W. and 4530 S. at about 11 p.m. Monday.`
According to police, the teen fell off the bike and wasn’t wearing a helmet or any other safety equipment.
Officials said the teen suffered injuries to his head and face after falling in the street.
The teen driver was cited after the accident.
It is against the law to tow things like a bike behind your vehicle.
