ST. GEORGE, Utah – Police in St. George are warning residents about a scam that involves a fraudulent “parking citation”, and they ask anyone who sees such a citation to contact them.
According to a Facebook post by the St. George Police Department, the “parking citation” scam directs people to a phone number and website not affiliated with the St. George Police Department to pay for the false violation.
The fraudulent form is pictured below, and police said residents should know that all parking citations are paid through the department’s record department at 265 North 200 East or via phone at 435-627-4301.
Anyone who finds a “citation” like the one pictured below on their vehicle is asked to contact St. George Police.
