SALT LAKE CITY – This beautiful story that is going viral unfolded right here at the University of Utah.
Leslie Ward Corbett, whose mother is very ill, said her mom’s last wish is to have a special song played at her funeral.
The family came up with a surprise instead.
Corbett said her mom loves the song, “Sweetheart of Sigma Chi,” and her brother and nephew, who are members of the Sigma Chi fraternity, pulled together a tear-jerking private performance for her.
She said she is thankful to the gentlemen of Sigma Chi at the University of Utah for giving them a memory with their mother they will always cherish.
The fraternity said on its Facebook page it is thankful for being included in the beautiful moment.
