SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah beat Utah State 24-14 Friday night at home in Salt Lake City, but they lost starting quarterback Travis Wilson to an injury.
Wilson went down hard on his left shoulder after a 38-yard run in the second quarter that set up a touchdown run from Devontae Booker. Wilson left the game and returned in the second half with his arm in a sling.
Wilson ran for 49 yards and a touchdown, and he passed for 76 yards before leaving the game with an injury. Booker ran for 120 yards and a touchdown.
Utah State quarterback Chuckie Keeton passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions.
