WEST JORDAN, Utah -- A man is in critical condition after a suspected gang-related shooting in West Jordan early Saturday morning.
The shooting was reported at around midnight in the area of 1300 West and 7050 South. When police arrived on scene, they learned a shootout occurred between three males and one man at a party.
Officers on scene discovered one of the men on the ground with gunshot wounds to his calf, thigh and armpit. He was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.
Sgt. Danny Benzon with West Jordan police said there is video surveillance of the scene that shows the party break up once the firing started between the individuals.
“They all started running opposite directions shooting back at each other," Benzon said.
Police say nobody else was injured but the three suspects fled the scene.
The suspects have not been identified at this time.
