Police investigating string of late night robberies in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are investigating three robberies that occurred late Tuesday night, and they believe the same person may be responsible for all of them.

The robberies occurred between 10:45 and 11 p.m. at these locations:

  • Shell Station, 2112 E 2100 S
  • Shell Station, 502 E 2100 S
  • 7-Eleven, 420 E 2700 S

Police said the suspect was described as black or Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and he was wearing a mask, a red hooded sweatshirt and a white sweatshirt pulled over.

The suspect was reported to be holding a hand in his pocket as though he were armed, but he did not show a weapon.

In each instance, police said, the man demanded money from the till and fled after receiving the money.
