SALT LAKE CITY — The most famous Jedi of them all was in Salt Lake City on Thursday for Salt Lake Comic Con.
More than 10,000 people packed Vivint Smart Home Arena to hear Mark Hamill, best known as Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" films, speak. (Watch Mark Hamill's panel here.)
Many of the attendees, dressed up like their favorite characters, spilled into the Salt Palace Convention Center afterward, where more than 400 vendors were waiting.
An R2-D2 rolled around while light saber fights broke out with frequency. Hamill, however, was the highlight.
"That guy is amazing and especially with the movie coming out its going to be fantastic," said a man dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker's first mentor.
Hamill is also an accomplished voice actor, and is admired by fans for his portrayal of The Joker in several animated Batman TV series, movies and video games.
"And you know The Joker must love comic cons because to him, 'it's all a montage to me,'" Hamill said.
