Daily COVID-19 numbers show increases in confirmed cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and recoveries

The Utah Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers in the state.

There are now 4,981 lab-confirmed cases statewide, which is an increase of 153 from Friday’s numbers.

There have been 117,804 tests conducted. By those new numbers, the percentage of people being tested and coming back as positive is approximately 4.2%.

An estimated 2,185 people have recovered, and418 people have been hospitalized, 15 more than Friday.

Three new deaths have been related in relation to COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 49.

The Utah Department of Health will not be giving a press conference to discuss the new numbers.
