5:37 PM - Gov. Gary Herbert has officially issued the executive order to move much of Utah to a "yellow" risk level for COVID-19. It takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

3:43 PM - The Tricounty Health Department has amended its local travel advisory, effective Saturday: The amended advisory does not advise against in-state travel. All residents of Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties are asked to limit out-of-state travel and quarantine for 14 days upon return from high-risk areas, TriCounty Health Department strongly advises those who choose to travel within the state of Utah to adhere to social distancing guidelines and other mitigation guidelines, such as wearing face coverings while in public.

TriCounty Health Department asks residents to strongly reconsider any travel that would unnecessarily take them into areas with widespread community transmission of COVID-19.

The advisory serves to limit unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 while traveling and adhering to the advisory will help continue to slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout the state and decrease its impact on Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties.

11:07 AM - From the Utah County Health Department: Starting May 16th, Utah County is in the yellow, or low risk, phase of the COVID-19 pandemic response. Keep going strong, our prevention actions are working! The yellow phase recommends "face coverings worn in settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain."
