SALT LAKE CITY — A driver was killed in a car accident in Salt Lake City when a semi-truck and a passenger car collided at 5600 W and 300 S.
Officers responded to a head on collision just after 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
The driver of the passenger car died at the scene. the driver of the semi-truck walked away with minor injuries.
The name, gender and other details regarding the driver were not immediately given.
Officials say 5600 W. will be shut down between 300 S. and the I-80 for the next several hours while investigators continue to examine the crash. They recommend drivers avoid the area if possible.
