SALT LAKE CITY -- — Salt Lake City firefighters responded to a report of a house fire just after 4:00 a.m. Monday in the area of 650 east and 300 South.
When they arrived, crews found a fully-involved fire in an abandoned home that had the windows and doors boarded up.
Firefighters took a defensive position and knocked down the fire while protecting nearby homes and businesses.
No injuries had been reported by 6:00 a.m. and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
