VINEYARD, Utah — A 27-year-old man died Sunday afternoon as a result of a crash in Vineyard.
According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee at a high rate of speed westbound on 1600 North when the SUV went off the road, hit a boulder and rolled near 400 East. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m.
McKay Guy Madsen of Lindon was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There is no evidence at this time to suggest impairment was a factor, but excessive speed clearly contributed to the outcome of this crash," the sheriff's office wrote.
