Five structures were damaged or destroyed after a fire at the Sweetwater Trailer Park subdivision in Garden City Saturday night.
According to a press release, the fire started just before 9:00 p.m. in a mobile home at approximately 3199 Nina Loop.
That home was destroyed, and flames quickly spread, ultimately destroying four structures and badly damaging a fifth.
Propane appears to be an initiating factor in the spread of the blaze. As the fire spread, multiple propane tanks exploded, which could be felt and heard by residents and visitors several miles away.
All home owners are accounted for, and there were no injuries to first responders or bystanders.
The fire was declared under control and extinguished at approximately 11:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
