LEHI, Utah — Evacuations have been lifted after the "Traverse Fire" in Lehi over the weekend, but about 26 homes below the burn scar are now at risk of mudslides.

On Sunday, volunteers spent the day putting together and distributing about 1,000 sandbags.

Lehi Fire officials said the city will need to re-vegetate the burn scar area to prevent future mudslides, which can happen when heavy precipitation hits a mountainside ravaged by wildfire.

The 467-acre fire is now 26 percent contained, and fire officials hope to have it fully contained by Monday night or Tuesday afternoon.
